Heretic: Angelcunts and devilcocks
18/09/13 || Cobal
Punk and metal have a long love-hate story. Me, there’s plenty of metalized punk and crossover releases I dig. For me, it’s a condition that the bands get to really fuse together both music genres in order for a record to be successful. That’s something Heretic don’t care for. Instead, they play a bunch of hard rock-slash-punk songs with miserable harsh vocals and metal-like guitar distortion. And sort of fun lyrics. You can’t hear the huge sarcastic tone that last sentence takes in my mind.
Even though I did nod to a couple songs in “Angelcunts and devilcocks”, that was before realizing every single song sounds exactly the same. That’s probably except the bass lines that bring a few momentums here and there. It’s impossible to actually hate this record, but I can hardly think of anything more irrelevant and not memorable.
4/10: I started yawning at the fourth track. There are ten of them.
After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
